We have a passion for wine. And we love to share it with you. We have more than 350 quality wines from all over the world that you can order by the glass. Served perfectly at temperature and, if desired, with matching culinary bites. We like to tell the story behind our wines. Our hosts and hostesses can tell you passionately about the wines we serve. And of course they can advise you or introduce you to lesser-known quality wines.

'Tell me who your friends are, and I'll tell you who you are'. Do you know that expression? In my case, that saying in a modified form would be more appropriate: 'Tell me what wine you like to drink, and I'll tell you who you are.' You have to take some time for the answer, because I can't stop talking about wine. It is my great passion. My parents' wine cellar once sparked my interest in wine. Even as a young boy, my curiosity was piqued. I started reading about wine and at the age of 15 I bought a limited edition Dom Pérignon at an auction, a one-of-a-kind! That was the beginning of my own collection of special quality wines.

It may sound strange, but I can even enjoy looking at my wine collection. Just sitting and enjoying it, without opening a bottle. I can tell you that I actually prefer not to sell some of the wines on our menu, because they are too precious to me. But if the lover who buys this wine really enjoys it, I enjoy it too. Then we share the passion for wine.

In recent years, I have made quite a few wine tours to discover new wineries and to learn even more about grape varieties and production methods. I completed the sommelier training in 2021 and made it to the finals of the NK Blindproevening in the same year. A great reward for my efforts in recent years and at the same time the drive to make the finals again next time.

RJ Restaurant's wine collection comprises some two hundred wines, but it is still growing. We have a wonderful collection of wines from France, Germany and Italy, the so-called old wine world. We are also increasingly focusing on new wine world, non-traditional wine regions, such as Argentina, South America, Chile, and New Zealand. Newcomers like Morocco also have our attention. On the wine list, you will mainly find wines that I have tasted and like myself.

In our restaurant, we use local and regional products whenever possible. We pay a lot of attention to the wine-food combination. It should be right and enhance the mutual flavours. In every price segment, you will find wines that match the dishes on our menu.

Of course, we are happy to advise you. Are you open to a new wine experience? Let us surprise you! We serve almost all our (top) wines by the glass. We also organise wine tastings, in which we take you on an exciting road trip along world wines.

In our wine list, we help you on your way with brief information on the character of the wines. Of course, we are happy to tell you more about them and enjoy giving you further advice and wine tips.
